Padel power: Mint Velvet’s autumn denim campaign focuses on fit, movement and style

Mint Velvet has unveiled its autumn denim campaign. And with movement central to the message, the Relaxed Glamour campaign shines a light on women in sport “balancing performance and personal style”.

So the brand’s “fresh take on autumn fashion” focuses its lens of a growing female-led sporting community, specifically Great Britain’s elite padel players, including Laura Jackson, Eloise Tait, Aimee Gibson and Catherine Rose.
Their “power, precision and unity reflects everything Mint Velvet loves about denim: movement, strength and enduring comfort”, we’re told.
With fits available in short, regular and long, the new MVDENIM collection is “designed to be a staple in every Relaxed Glamour wardrobe” to balance “high performance on court with everyday style off it”.
Racket sport padel has become a hugely important feature of fashion campaigns in recent years and seasons with brand after brand building photoshoots around it, including both those that are sports-based and those that aren’t.
We’ve also seen the sport being added to product category line-ups and being made part of store makeovers globally. So it’s no surprise that Mint Velvet has referenced it for this season, even though such sport links are usually more likely to be seen in summer campaigns.
